I recognise that searching for a therapist and booking that first appointment can feel quite overwhelming. Taking that initial step, however, could mark the beginning of a process that enables you to realise the changes you may long for in your life.
I encourage you to book an initial assessment appointment with me. It will give us the opportunity to talk about the issues that might be bothering you, to consider how therapy might work for you and to find out if I am the right therapist for you.
If you decide you would like to begin therapy with me, we will talk about your goals for therapy and discuss a contract that outlines the practicalities of our work going forward. If you decide you would like to begin therapy with me, we will talk about your goals for therapy and discuss a contract that outlines the practicalities of our work going forward. This will include information for you (e.g. outlining the boundaries of confidentiality) and details of my terms and conditions (such as our agreed fee and my cancellation policy).
Sessions will last for 50 minutes, and we will usually meet once a week at a time that is safeguarded for you.
We will regularly review our goals and whether you feel you are benefitting from therapy.

I offer open-ended therapy as well as short-term therapy, supporting clients to make informed decisions about the depth and length of therapy with me. Short-term work can be used to look at a particular issue or crisis allowing you to talk about the situation in a supportive environment, identifying options available and strategies for coping. Longer term work allows for an in-depth exploration of relational patterns and the careful processing of trauma, hurt and loss; as well as increasing self-awareness, gaining insights and illuminating choices.
We will regularly negotiate and review the length of the therapy, agreeing on what we collaboratively decide is appropriate.
